For Big Wild’s single “OMGarden” from their album The Efferusphere, the team chose a familiar world to begin Mopsy the rabbit’s journey. They then enhanced the contrast of this normal world against the final forest party, utilizing dynamic angles, a richer saturation, and a blend of 2D characters and 3D environments.

The world built in 3D was designed to meld perfectly with the 2D animated creatures. Mimicking real life, Imaginary Planet’s artists removed the line art from its 2D characters and focused on how colors and lighting in a scene could marry together. This integrated the two mediums harmoniously.
